Tagged - Quirks...

Thank you Amber for tagging me on this lovely subject...however I don't know that I can list 6 quirks as I am so close to perfectly normal...oh wait, I'm a YOUNG :) So here go my quirks:

1. I absolutely, positively cannot stand having my hands get pruny. I can do normal things like wash dishes, etc but when it comes to swimming or taking a bath, or even a lengthy shower it grosses me out. If you are ever swimming with me you'll notice I hold my hands out of the water the majority of the time. For some reason when my hands get pruny and then you have to rub them together for any reason it gives me the major chills & not in a good way.

2. I have serious claustrophobia (sp?). We went to six flags the other day & one of the roller coaster seats was really narrow & I very nearly had to get off before the ride started because I felt trapped...Craig also hates it because since he is a tad heavy I cannot stand to have him lay on me, if I can't move my legs I freak. Same goes with pants, I was at the mall the other day trying on some pants & the sales girl was like "those are really flattering..." & I'm like "yeah, but my legs can't breathe" & had to yank them off really fast! Weird.

3. I cannot work in a mess...I know some of you who know me may be going huh?? But when I am working at my desk, if I have papers all over I get extremely frustrated...which since Craig & I switched desks & I now have the small one happens fairly regularly. Same goes when I am in the kitchen. I cannot stand to cook when my kitchen is a mess, I get so mad & swear a lot :)

4. Dog hair in my basement...need I say more? Since my dogs are barkers at night we have to bring them inside. BUT they shed like crazy so every time I go into my basement it is covered in dog hair!! It frustrates me so much, it sticks to shoes & feet & then gets drug all through my house. Not to mention all of my stuff down there has a nice dog hair coating on it. We have been meaning to make some sort of fence so that they can only destroy a small section of the basement but so far it is only a plan with no action. I get even more mad when I am trying to clean it all up & it just goes everywhere!! Anyone have any dog hair cleaning tips??

5. Another hair issue, my own hair. Right now it is short & I cannot stand to have it in my way. So, since it is too short for a pony tail or anything I have to use like 50 bobby pins to keep it back when I am cleaning or working out or anything remotely active. I don't know why but the littlest things seem to really make me mad!! Not to mention it looks just so lovely this way :)

6. Dishwasher loading...I have a certain way I load my dishwasher that I feel maximizes space so that I don't have to do any hand washing :) So whenever other people load my dishwasher...not naming any names but we know Chance & Kenedi don't do the dishes yet...and they just throw the dishes in there I go back and organize it. I know, psycho, it doesn't really matter & I am thankful when other people load for me but for some reason it bugs me. Go figure.

So, I think we have established that I am weird...I am tagging Katherine & Dad...

A Week of Firsts....and Possibly Lasts...

The Larsens came for a visit over Labor Day, we had soooo much fun! The kids didn't even fight which in & of itself is a miracle!! We spent all day Saturday in the Rocky Mountain National Park & Estes Park...it was really crowded but fun. The kids fought over which stroller they got to ride in so you'll notice we have 3 kids crammed in a double...we went hiking around, rode a little zip line car that took us up to the top of one of the mountains, ate pizza in a cute little pizza shop, walked along the river, ate homemade ice cream, and just enjoyed the great weather!! We were soo sad to see them go for sure:)

A few days after they left, Chance had his very first day of PRESCHOOL!! Can you hear it?? Thats right....quiet....ahhhhh...lucky for me Ms. Kenedi naps at the same time so I get a couple hours of peace to get things done, doesn't he look sooo cute??

I can't belive how big he is getting...

The sweet Diego backpack complete with wheels (thank you grandma & grandpa!)

Proud day :)

The latest addition to our family that has survived terrible torture...

And inflicted some as well :)

That same day, Chance had his very first soccer practice. He was very excited, so was his Assistant Coach Daddy...however....I get a call from the hubby about halfway through practice telling me that he is about to stick my son in the car & beat him...apparently Chance wasn't into actually practicing, so the asst. coach had to endure the scrutiny of all the onlooking parents as he attempted to coach their children while his own was screaming bloody murder & holding onto the swing set. Needless to say when he got home, he was in big trouble....that means no cartoons for the rest of the day!
